Adventing from Tosh (A village at thte end of the #Parvativalley #Manikaran #Kullu in HP & is situated at a height of 8000ft) where we had night halt at Tari's Yamuna Guest House.

Commanded panoramic view of the majestic mountain peaks with mystical name of DHARAM, PAAP (Sin), PITCHU Peak.

After homely comfortable stay and courteous hospitality rendered by Mr. Tari. On next morning we headed towards Barshani Dam Site by vehicle.

We crossed River Parvati and headed on foot towards right bank of gushing Parvati River. After 45 mins. walk we reached Nakthan village, which housed typical KATH-KONI wooden houses unique architecture marvels.

Thereafter, reached Rudranag which is a religious place with a small waterfall.

After crossing a small bridge over Parvati River which is at a considerable height from the mighty Parvati. One can easily feel the force of river flowing down. A steep climb follows ahead for couple of minutes amidst, enchanting scenic beauty reached Kheerganga in time span of almost three hours from Barshani. We can see dense forest bearing Oak, Walnut, Pine, Cedar, etc.

CLIMB ON:

Ever wondered why people would climb mountains, risk their lives just to reach the top? The answer is well quoted by GEORGE MALLORY, who attempted to make first ascent of Everest says:

Because it is there.”

The view from the top, the people we meet, the self reflection and the best treat for nature lovers drives people for this totally exhausting but purely exiting and enriching adventure. The same inspired me to do Basic Mountaineering Course,
But the only lack was preparation. Just passion and will power won’t take us very far in this field. This is for all those who aspire to be a climber, some tips from what I have gathered.

1. FITNESS
Not just mentally but physically as well, being able to run for aleast 5km, trek as far as possible with minimum 20kg bag pack. The capability of remaining active throughout the day is require.

2. ROCK CLIMBING AND WALL CLIMBING
Have a prior practice and idea of wall climbing and rock climbing if possible, both of which requires a lot of muscle strength.

3. ADAPTING EASILY
A person should be able to adapt easily anywhere with bare minimum facility and should be able to consume any kind of food available for survival.

4.WEATHER FRIENDLY
Mountains are unpredictable be it rain, rockfall, etc. anything can happen anytime and one must be prepared for any situation.

   Base camp:

5. BREATHING
Work on breathing capability, walking long distances with the entire weight can cause not just fatigue but increase in pulse rate, yoga, running and cycling might help.

                     Snow craft:
6. TREKKING:
Before doing basic course, try and do atleast two-three treks ranging from easy, moderate and difficult, not necessary but will surely help.

    Trekking:

ALL THE BEST!!

BARN OWL: SYMBOL OF PROPHESY ND WISDOM:

BARN OWL: SYMBOL OF PROPHESY ND WISDOM:(GREEK MYTH), GHOST OWL/ BIRD OF DOOM (INDIAN MYTH):

The Barn Owl is the most widely distributed species of owl, and one of the most widespread of all birds. Barn Owls are pale overall with dark eyes.

They have a mix of buff and gray on the head, back, and upper wings, and are white on the face, body, and under wings. When seen at night they can appear all white, Ghostly pale and strictly nocturnal, Barn Owls are silent predators of the night world.

Despite a worldwide distribution, Barn Owls are declining in parts of their range due to habitat loss. Its face is so pale it's imagined by some to resemble a ghost or a human skull. This owl is even called "ghost owl" and "bird of doom."
